DJ Premier & A$AP Ferg – Our Streets

Payday Records founder Patrick Moxey relaunches the seminal hip-hop/Rap label that I was fortunate enough to get a quick-stint internship at in 1996. Payday was pretty much a home for the Gangstarr Foundation members down with Guru & DJ Premier, and released some of greatest records to date, like the 1st and 2nd Jeru The Damaja LP’s, Group Home’s Livin’ Proof, Big Shug’s phenomanal single “Crush” and not to mention, Jay-Z’s first classic single, “In My Lifetime.”

The new roster will include artists such as Brooklyn’s Gloss Gang and MC Pell out of New Orleans, but Moxey kicks things off with his longtime go to producer, DJ Premier, with a track featuring A$AP Ferg called “Our Streets.” Peep it out below and stay tuned for more Payday in the coming months.
