DJ Premier Talks Guru & Gangstarr, Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas & More (Video)

On this 20th anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G.’s passing the legendary DJ Premier visits The Breakfast Club. He talks about his family origins of music, the origins of Gangstarr before he joined Guru, the first time working with Biggie, Jay-Z & Nas.  Preemo also tells great stories on how Jeru’s “One Day” & “Playin’ Yourself” came out in 95′ (which ignited a bit of drama between Biggie and Preem, plus how “Ten Crack Commandments” was originally a radio promo for Angie Martinez’s show and how Jay-Z’s The Black Album was originally intended for him to entirely produce.
