Jim Jones Talks Roc Nation w/ Funk Flex (Video)

Jim Jones made headlines yesterday (Feb. 8th) when he signed a new deal with JAY Z‘s Roc Nation. This came as a major shock for most, because a Hov vs. Dipset feud between Cam, Jim and Jigga went on for over a decade since the disintegration of Roc-A-Fella Records. The EGO is a muthaeff, ain’t it?

Jones chops it up with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex for a long-ass interview, speaking on the how of The Diplomats were formed as well as h ow his deal with Roc Nation actually came about. The interview got rather emotional as Jim spoke of his sacrifices and loyalty to Cam, Juelz & the entire Dipset. He details also how Max B came into the picture plus how important the DJ used to be by referencing another “co-founder” of Dipset, Digga aka DJ 6FiggaDigga, who actually produced “Many Men.”

Unfortunately, Jim’s relationship with Cam’ron is pretty much over at this moment, but it isn’t stopping his grind either. Wouldn’t it have been great to see the entire Dipset back together via Roc Nation the way The LOX did it up towards the end of last year? We’ll keep day-dreaming for now but hopefully in the near future, they’ll hatch everything up without it being forced and give their fanatics that Dipset love. But it must start from within, it’s the purist form of true love. Jones also revealed that if Killa would ever show up at any of his shows on some surprise performance with positive vibes at any given point, he’d be good, but the ego just won’t allow this to happen right now. This is indeed a powerful interview I’m finding out Jim lost his Grandmother & Bloodshed (from Children of the Corn) the same year I lost my sister in 1995. Props 2dbz.
