J Dilla – Jay Dee’s Ma Dukes Collection (Album Stream) x The Making of J Dilla’s “The Diary” (Video)

The late producer Dilla’s estate just dropped Jay Dee’s Ma Dukes Collection, a collection of previously unreleased instrumentals from the extensive archives of the Detroit legend.

 

In this new clip from Mass Appeal shares how Dilla’s list of producers & collaborators such as Hi-Tek, Nottz, Karriem Riggins, House Shoes, Bilal, Snoop Dogg and others discuss the inspiration behind the posthumous J Dilla (straight spittin’) album The Diary and how it was painstakingly was reconstructed from Dilla’s archived files after his death in 2006 from Lupus.
