Alan Jay Palmer & THE NEW SOIL SHIP at The Blue Note (Photos)

Alan Jay Palmer brought out his big guns (in a non-violent fashion of course) to the legendary Blue Note Jazz club this past Friday July 6th. The New Soil Ship Band came in for a special landing with their splendidly wonderful sounds, from “Mars,” as A.J.P. introduced the beautiful songstress Shanel, who has a very bright future ahead of her. Alan’s son, Joe Palmer, as always, was on hand as the band’s drummer, while the rest of the collective did it BIG for the “Late Night Groove Series.” Everyone enjoyed their classic set. Above is of course the slide-show and by clicking your mouse, view the gallery below.
